The Glastonbury festival is one of the biggest in the world. The biggest bands in rock have all played it and many memorable performances have been made at this UK event. Saturday, June 26th was added to those archives as the band Muse invited U2 guitarist The Edge up on stage to play “Where The Streets Have No Name”.
U2 was supposed to be one of the main headliners for this year’s festival but due to Bono injuring his back and getting operated on, they had to cancel. So during Muse’s set, The Edge joined them in a rousing rendition of the U2 classic as the crowd went absolutely bonkers.
You gotta give it up to Matt Bellamy for doing a kick-ass job on the vocals. His voice, along with the always incredible guitar playing from Edge, equals an insane surprise at Glasto and a memory that won’t leave the minds of anyone who sees it. I gotta get to Glastonbury next year. Check out the performance up top.
